St James receives ‘Digital Educator’ award for their Worth While Apps project

Mr S Farmer and his year 8 app designers have been selected as finalists for the South West Digital Educators Awards 2012 (find out more about the awards here: http://www.digitaleducators.co.uk/testing/docs/SWDEC-Awards-details.pdf). The project which aims to revolutionise how students log and monitor school homework is one of 10 finalists which will be presented at the South West Digital Educators conference (http://www.digitaleducators.co.uk/) in July. Becoming a finalist means we receive a £300 grant for the school with the opportunity to win an iPad or Kindle by progressing to the next stage. The group (Dan B, Lewis B, Lewis C, Owen J and Chris P) will now create a short (30 second) video to go on the conference website and create a 20 minute presentation that will be viewed by delegates on the day. Watch this space as we will update you on our progress.
