Curly Wright, Tom Wright’s Grandfather will be taking on the John O’ Groats cycle challenge next week. Tom himself will be riding from Bridgewater to Lands’ End as are some of Curly’s Grandchildren. Each of them will be undertaking a minimum of 50 miles in various stages to help them appreciate children with less opportunity than themselves. Tom’s challenge is approximately 140 Miles over 4 days. Curly and his family will be cycling for the benefit of The West of England School for Children with little or no sight, which is situated in Topsham Road, Exeter. Tom will be accompanied all the way by Curly and Curly’s Daughter Gem Spicer; who works at WESC. At the End of the challenge on Sunday 19th August, there will be a fete held in the WESC grounds from 2PM till 8PM. There will be live music (A Lady Gaga tribute), trade stands, Exeter City past and present and a BBQ and bar will be available. Tickets will be £7 or a family ticket £25 available to purchase from WESC.
